Questions Every NEET Parent Asks Us

When does NEET UG 2026 counselling start, and who conducts it?

MCC conducts All India Quota (15%), Deemed/Central university counselling from late July 2026 onwards, while state quota (85%) counselling runs in parallel by respective state DGMEs. Rounds typically stretch from August to November, including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

What's the difference between All India Quota and State Quota?

AIQ covers 15% of government seats filled nationally by MCC based purely on AIR. State quota covers the remaining 85% of government seats plus private college seats, reserved for state domicile students — often with significantly lower closing ranks and fees.

Can I get MBBS with a low NEET score (below 400)?

Yes, realistically via Deemed universities, management quota, or low-fee private colleges in states like Karnataka, UP and Maharashtra. If MBBS isn’t viable, BDS/BAMS/BHMS are excellent, respected alternatives — we show you honest projections for both paths.

Which documents are required for counselling?

NEET admit card & scorecard, 10th/12th marksheets, photo ID, domicile certificate, category/EWS/PwD certificates (if applicable), passport photos, and for deemed/NRI quota — sponsorship and passport documents. We pre-verify everything before Round 1.

Are BAMS / BHMS / BUMS good career options?

Absolutely. Ayush graduates now get internship stipends, PG (MD) pathways, hospital practice rights and growing global demand. Government Ayush seats cost a fraction of private MBBS — for many families they’re the smartest ROI in medicine.
